HURRICANE MITIGATION: HOW TO OBTAIN
|
In 2005, the Florida Legislature enacted a law requiring all residential property insurance companies to file with the Office of Insurance Regulation a range of premium discounts they propose to offer. Insurance companies issuing new homeowners’ insurance policies on or after October 1, 2005, or the first renewal of a homeowner’s insurance policy, were required to let policyholders know they can get discounts if they strengthen their homes against hurricane damage. All residential property insurance companies had to file a loss mitigation discount no later than March 1, 2007. After that date, insurance companies must provide all new and renewing customers the exact discounts that apply specifically to their homes. Until June 2009, the state had funds allocated to assist qualified homeowners with the cost of the inspection as well as the cost to mitigate the home. While the state no longer offers funding assistance, discounts on the wind portion of the home insurance are still available. |

We will go through Contracts that are written by attorneys who use a vocabulary that does not fit the insurance policy, ie., personal injury used the

LIFE INSURANCE SOLUTIONS TO BUSINESS PROBLEMS
|
We will go through
IMPACT OF RECENT ECONOMICS ON SMALL BUSINESS
A. Small business has always been the backbone of a healthy U.S.
economy
1. Between 60% – 80% of all new jobs in the United States
can be attributed to business with fewer than 100
employees.
2. Responsible for half of the private sector work force and half
of GDP
3. In Florida, 31.5% of total payroll is from small business
B. Many small businesses have been strained to the breaking point by
the current economic environment
1. Yet, it was global financial institutions that received $1.2
trillion in federal loans, i.e. “too big to fail”
2. The survival of small businesses can be attributed to an
entrepreneurial spirit, including discipline, sacrifice, faith,
frugality, and determination to survive however long it
takes to return to more profitable times.
C. Even in the best of times, and especially in tough economic times,
businesses can benefit from insurance, transferring risk to a third
party, for “pennies on the dollar.”
1. Risk management
2. Tax advantages
3. Executive benefits

HURRICANE MITIGATION: HOW TO OBTAIN
79093
|

PROPERTY LEASES AND INSURANCE-ADJUSTER
74504

This course will go through Risk Management and will teach that one form of risk transfer is a contract.
One person's solution may become another person's problem, as an agent contracts present challenges because it is usually a "done deal" when we see it and the commitments of the contract are broader than the coverage written or they may not be insurable at all.
We will go through Contracts that are written by attorneys who use a vocabulary that does not fit the insurance policy, ie., personal injury used the
Attorney is different from the personal injury when used in and insurance policy. This is a do not miss!!!
